THERE GOES FAR-FETCHED IDEA WHY I EVEN DECIDED TO NAIL THE SKETCH:

Band's name is "Big Day" and today we all will welcome New Year.
There's chilling cold, but MOTHER OF NATURE, NO SNOW?!

It's a nonsense! The cold is acceptable and forgiven by me when:

-in night it results with beautiful sky full of stars

-pretty snow sparkling like a glitter

-SNOW FOR SCUPTING SILLY HEARTS INSTEAD OF SNOWBALLS

Mother of Nature, you dissapointed me this time.

That's why, to not think about such nonsense cold, instead of overrated ice-type Pokemon drawings
I've decided to go with a song that talks about hot summer and Pokemon that are great to go with
singing, happy mood and hot days.

....I shouldn't draw this, people love me for poke-science and dinosaurs.

You consider Maractus as not able to battle well?
Okay, but you can't deny it's potential for being born for other things than battles.

Music, singing, dancing, sweet scent, sucker punch AND spiky shield if you wanna mess with it.
It also will feel pity to you in the desert that even one day haven't passed and you need water already.
-while it will think about water maybe after 4 days if the sun is really strong.

---necessary trivia: why I really drew picture to that song---

Joe, shiny OC Maractus of mine appears in my head every single time I hear song "Smooth" by Santana,
because the accent and what he feels to Cara the Cacturne.

Today when coming back to home, I've heard this old polish song which I've forgotten for good.
Lyrics might talk about summer love, buuut I'm always the one with weird ways of thinking,
so unless it's said clearly in the song there's love...there don't have to be only one way of interpreting it.

It's amazing how one random shiny in my game made me to turn it into such an OC
No shame, in my stories Weirda Mirrart met this Maractus in same way like I did- after some time spend
on Mirage Island Wei decided to look again for Maractus, totally not expecting the first encounter
to be special, because something happens after longer research.
And then.
WHAT.
WHAT?

A shiny Maractus. How I explained it? If you know thing called food chain, you know there's always
predator in it. Mirage Island with Maractus has nothing that could be predator...because Zebstrika
are electric type which live in herds, so this is nonsense for Xatu which for sure could hunt safety
for Venomoth. Same goes for random visiting bird Pokemon. This gives only one conclusion: what looked
as an utopia at first, became a prison. Herbivores became overpopulated and because Maractus can store
water, can grow and survive in worse conditions than grass, Zebstrika started to hunt on them with their
stomp, trash and flame charge moves.

Sorry if I repeat myself, but I'm aware not everyone remembers well my OCs as well as there are some ppl
who just see my xth OC drawing for the 1st time.

NOW, there go some of the lyrics from the song(which I'll translate o those who don't know polish):

okay, I know it's rather talk about a hug rather than care or taking someone with, but this is the word
"przygarniesz" that made me think of Joe here. The word "przygarnąć" makes me think about taking a pet
under care rather than...human.

Life on Mirage Island where Joe lived became kind of nonsense at some point. Sometimes even botanic garden
has some nonsense, because of all the rules that are...not the matter fo matter of death, but more
of pure frustration. I know I sound really general, but this is to simply describe why this.

"Maybe it was You who gave me a sign
or maybe it was me who gave it to you"

...'cause seriously, shiny Maractus on first encounter with hasty nature that turned into such inspiration.

I hope no one will try to listen more carefully to the song, because I know it's strange to think about
it as Joe could dedicate it to Wei, but some drawings have feelings in it...and this is the one of them.

I can think about myself as someone pretty special at last from time to time, right?

Please forgive me for such lazy shading, but I rushed it to see what technique I shall use next time when drawing Maractus to do it faster. I have some WIPs which include them....and I don't want to spend too much time on them.

*last 15 minutes I did when being tipsy after welcomingNew Year, so...nobody's perfect, especially me.
