Black Rayquaza

I am not, like my brothers,

the guardian and life saver.

I am destroyer.

I am the black hole,

absorbing the light of hope.

I eat everything that's on my way.

I choose who need to pay for its sins.

Who need to DIEE...


Said the dragon that was born with teeth dipped in the blood.

Its large body was impossible to be count by mortal eye,

hiding behind dense clouds.

Black dragon dissapeared in them like it was made from mist.

I love to imaginate Pokemon World like fantasy World.

I don't know how many people are like me, but I know there are some.

I told it once to someone, now more officially:

I adore dragon type, because of dragons in Pokemon World.

If you don't know, in eastern culture, color of dragon means something.
The black one predicts the destroyer dragon.

It's interesting, because Rayquaza represents a more of typical eastern dragon, a guardian serpent creature
that other should obey and respect.
That's why I love Hoenn even more.

I've got all three dragon types I would ever need:

typical eatern dragon- Rayquaza
typical western dragon- Salamence
creative,original,fantasy-like dragon- Flygon

About the first sentence: yes, I believe there's not only one speciment of legendary Pokemon per species.

Legendary Pokemon- in games they give us challenge, unfortunately after 4th gen their agnomen seems to lost proper meaning;
Legendary or mythical Pokemon became too popular and...like an object for Pokemon collectors.

Personally I don't mind that 4th and 5th gen introduced a lot of them; it builded and expanded the fantasy feel into Pokemon World,
but they should really mean something.

We all wish that aren't we? But since we can use them in game, they cannot be too powerful.
What a pity.

But as you can see, I treat legendary Pokemon as they should be.

Thrivia about my take on Rayquaza:

Even if its basen on eastern dragon like Lung, its desing doesn't tell us that much.

Maybe to touch it I would give it fish tail and fish-like fins. Spikes here were added just for fun and more intimidating look

Rayquaza is a snake dragon that can fly thanks to big lung that contains helium. By curling and positioning body in the air,
it controlls its flight and predics wind blows.
If you think its crazy, think about flying snake from tropical forests.

I don't know if it can glow its yellow pattern, I just decided to add it here for more mystery and light source on the head
to make drawing more interesting.

Rayquaza is called as teethless dragon- I agree, but I don't want to copy DreamWorks Toothless
- these red teeth are made of iron, they're so brittle and can cause deathful
bleeding. This dragon doesn't attacks physically, but with strong sp.attacks.
However, it can strike with dangerous bite to cause bleeding and wait until its victim will die.

Since it can control its metabolism and like snakes can not eat for long time.

Rayquaza species became almost extinct because of Ice age. Luckily, Hoenn region is the only known from slight climat changes
through milion years. Probably small amount of this species survived the extinction.

I imaginated it that human stands in front of Rayquaza, but after 2 tries I gave up and went with something more easy.
I drew it for full fun, to relax from challenge I am doing now (humaaaanzzz >:I )
